Description | : Fr. Thomas Madanu as assistant at Nagepally started
mission work at Chellawada, an interior village, in Gadchiroli
District, 132 kms away from Bishop's Home, in 1982. He
constructed the church cum presbytery in 1984 at Chellawada.
Most of the inhabitants are migrants from neighbouring Andhra
Pradesh who came in search of land. Chellawada mission was
looked after from Nagepally for many years. Fr. Thomas Madanu
purchased a plot of land at Repanpally on Allapally - Sironcha
road in 1993. He was appointed as the first resident priest-in - charge at Repanpally on 10 April 1996 and the substations at
Chellawada and Marneli are being looked after from here. The
SABS Sisters have started their convent at Repanpalli in 1998.
