| Description | : Rajura is a small town and Tahsil Headquarters,11 kms
away from Bishop's Home. Priests from the Bishop's Home used
to say Holy Mass at the houses of the faithful in the beginning. In
1993, the D.M. Sisters started their convent and an English
Medium at Chunala, 2 kms away from Rajura town. Since then
Holy Mass was celebrated in the convent. As a substation,
spiritual assistance was extended from Bishop's Home and from
Warur. It was raised as a mission station on 1st May 1998 and Fr.
Tomy Chovelikudiyil was appointed as first priest-in-charge. A
new Church was built by Fr. K. J. Thomas in a plot of land of the
Diocese and it was blessed in 2002. The priest-in-charge resides
at Bishop's Home. |
